Nokia Ideas Project site goes live.

Remember back when the Symbian Foundation was responsible for the development of the Symbian platform before development went back under Nokia’s complete control? Well before all of that went down there was this nifty little site maintained by the foundation that allowed regular old users and innovators to contribute their ideas to the platform in constructive fashion in the hopes of seeing their ideas implemented in their platform of choice.

Well it seems Nokia has listened to their community and created a new way for us to provide them with feedback and ways of improving the platform with the features WE want. We’ve had a similar idea running for a while now and hopefully some of that feedback will trickle it’s way into Nokia’s site and eventually their own platforms and business.

The process of creating an idea is what one would you expect, create an idea with an appropriate title and description, tag the idea with the relevant keywords and choose the category in which your application resides, i.e. Business, Entertainment, People etc.  Of course there’s a more detailed FAQ over at the site and one or two users have already done their bit and created their own ideas.

The more votes and more detail provided, with greater collaboration on a specific idea, the more likely we are to see that idea implemented. In that case, f you create an idea be sure to publicize it be it via Twitter, Facebook or even here at MyNokiaBlog.

Thanks blackidea.

Ideas Project isn’t actually a new site, seems that they just gave it a new layout. You can see the old one from waybackmachine

I really hope it will be something like Symbian Foundation’s ideas. This site used to be pretty neglected. They used to have “Question of the week” that was often same for weeks or months.
